EASY-EDIT for FireFox or Safari

We highly recommend using FireFox or Safari as your web browser when using easy-edit. The editing tool used in Internet Explorer relies on active X controls and can behave erratically, especially on a Vista machine. Plus, let's face it, Internet Explorer is terrible anyhow. If you do not have FireFox or Safari installed on your machine, you may use the links below to download.

Easy-Edit Overview

Links

There are two ways of creating links within Easy-Edit. You can create a trackable link, or a non-trackable link.
Trackable links are used in the messaging module, as they allow you to track who has clicked on the links within your message.
Non-trackable links may be used for all other modules - as you are not able to track links within a web browser, like you can within a message.

The steps below outline creating a link specificaly within a message.

By simply typing the url into the box below creates a simple link, ideal for web based modules. However, it is not ideal for messaging, as it is not trackable.

To create a Trackable link, use the "Browser Server" button to access your links library.

Your links library consists of the tabs shown below. You may link to another item in Drtiveit, such as a Survey, Product or Web page. Anything not stored within Driveit (such as a pdf, external web page, etc.) can be added through the "External" tab.

To choose a link, simply select the radio button to the right and hit "Apply".

If you created a non-trackable link, you will also be given a chance to make it trackable through the Links tab in your message, as shown below.
You will want to keep in mind that your link name will become whatever was highlighted, often resulting in a non-descriptive link name.
