REAP (Respect for the Earth and All People)

Finding a cost-effective solution to handle member relationships is always a top priority for non-profit organizations. REAP has managed to use DriveIt to its full potential - keeping costs down while managing all correspondence in one place.

REAP sends a monthly newsletter using a DriveIt custom template - which directs readers to their blog, containing valuable articles and tips for maintaining sustainability.

REAP also holds regular seminars which are free to members, but have a small fee for non-members. Using DriveIt eCommerce, with PayPal setup as the payment gateway, REAP can have all registrations and payments take place online in one simple step.

Following each seminar, REAP sends a Survey to each attendee requesting feedback. This is very important for a non-profit organization as they rely solely on member satisfaction.

More about REAP

REAP Business Association was founded in Calgary in 2006 with the vision to create a vibrant living economy where citizens understand and value the impact of shopping locally. REAP members are Calgary businesses with visionary leaders who are concerned about helping to create a more sustainable city. By supporting these companies, citizens enhance their quality of life and actively express their highest values.

REAP believes that transformative education is needed if we are to accelerate our progress toward a sustainable future. Their mission is to help educate people about the impact of their decisions in order to make more decisions which have positive consequences.

They do this through three separate but related programs:

  • A free online magazine to educate citizens about issues of sustainability and the positive impact that Calgary businesses have on the community, the economy and the environment.  Events help to create a sense of community and establish networking opportunities for concerned citizens.
  • Through its members-only online forum and quarterly membership meetings, REAP helps business leaders deepen their commitment to sustainability by sharing resources and best practices.
  • An elementary school curriculum that teaches students to become responsible citizens, urges them to participate in the democratic process, and inspires them to support constructive change in their community, their society, and their world.

Through these three programs REAP strives to engage a variety of stakeholders in all walks of life.
