The new media designer position will require a variety of skills to service our web application graphics as well as full web site design services for our customers. We're looking for someone who can create professional business quality, crisp, clean designs.
Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Position: Full-Time / Permanent
Primary responsibilities will include:
- User interface design concepts
- Web site design and layouts
- Flash animations
- JavaScript coding
- Cascading Style Sheets
- HTML optimization
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Degree or certificate in New Media Design from a recognized institution.
- Minimum two years of experience in a design related position.
- A key understanding of human computer interaction (HCI) relevant to web site navigation and usability issues.
- Ability to work with raw HTML / CSS Files
Required tools experience:
- Mac OS X
- Adobe PhotoShop
- Adobe ImageReady
- Macromedia Flash
- JavaScript
- HTML
- CSS
Key non-technical skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work successfully in a dynamic team environment.
- Professional attitude and approach to client relations.
- Excellent time and task management skills.
- Most of all, must love to design and take pride in your craft!
